Divisional Series Matchups Set to Begin

  The Wild Card Series has come and gone, and it is now time for the Divisional Rounds for the MLB Playoffs. All four divisional rounds will begin on Saturday and here are how the matchups will look.               Texas Rangers vs. Baltimore Orioles: Texas is coming off a fairly easy two game sweep over the Tampa Bay Rays. Baltimore is coming off one of its best years in franchise history in which they won 101 games. They are led by their young superstars, Adley Rutschman and Gunnar Henderson. They will be without All-Star close Felix Bautista who recently underwent Tommy John surgery. Games 1 and 2 of this series will be played on Saturday and Sunday. Texas will have Andrew Heaney (10-6, 4.15 ERA) on the mound in Game One. Baltimore will have their ace, Kyle Bradish (12-7, 2.83 ERA) on the mound in what should be an exciting matchup.             Minnesota Twins ...

The Rangers, Twins, Diamondbacks, and Phillies all only needed two games in their best-of-three series to complete their sweeps.   We are through Day 1 of the MLB playoffs, and we were treated to four magnificent games. Everything from great pitching performances to clutch hitting from players in their playoff debuts. Here is how it went.               Texas Rangers vs. Tampa Bay Rays: Texas took Game One of the series 4-0 over Tampa Bay. Jordan Montgomery went seven strong innings for Texas, allowing six hits and striking out five. Tyler Glasnow got the loss for Tampa Bay, going five innings, allowing six hits, three runs, five walks, and eight strikeouts. Rangers' rookie Evan Carter reached base four times in his playoff debut. Playoff Field Set: Wild Card Series Matchup Previews

Playoffs set to begin.  The field has been set for the 2023 Major League Baseball playoffs. It took all 162 games to decide division winners and proper seeding. The Wild Card is set to begin on October 3 rd , with the Texas Rangers and Tampa Bay Rays kicking things off. Let’s take a look at and preview the four Wild Card Series matchups.           Texas Rangers (90-72) vs. Tampa Bay Rays (99-63): Tampa Bay will host Texas in what will be a matchup of two teams that took their divisional races down to the last couple days of the season. Texas needed a win on the final day of the season to clinch the division and they were beaten 1-0. Both teams have lost star players towards the end of their seasons. Texas lost pitcher Max Scherzer to a triceps injury. Tampa Bay lost star shortstop Wander Franco due to issues off the field.
