World Series even after 2 games.
Through two games, the 2023 World Series is tied 1-1. The Rangers took Game One in dramatic fashion with a walk-off homerun from Adolis Garcia. Garcia's walk-off came in the bottom of the 11th inning, two innings after Corey Seager hit a game-tying homer off of Diamondbacks closer, Paul Sewald. The walk-off homer for Garcia gave him the most RBIs in MLB Postseason History. With at least three games left in the series, we should see Garcia expand his RBI total.
Arizona would bounce back in Game Two with a dominant 9-1 victory. D-Backs starter, Merrill Kelly, was brilliant, going seven innings, only allowing three hits, one run, and striking out nine. His postseason ERA lowered to 2.25 after this outing. The Arizona offense was led by a 4-4 performance from outfielder Tommy Pham. This marked Arizona's first World Series victory since Game Seven of the 2001 World Series.
Game Three will see Max Scherzer (0-1, 9.45 ERA) vs. Brandon Pfaadt (0-0, 2,70 ERA)
